• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. It will tolerate medium light, but avoid direct sun, which can fade patterns and scorch leaves.
• Water: Soak the moss ball every 5–7 days, or when it begins to feel lighter. Calatheas like consistently moist moss but never soggy. Use room-temperature or filtered water if possible.
• Drainage: Gently squeeze excess water after soaking and allow to drip dry before placing back on display.
• Humidity: Loves higher humidity. Normal home air is okay, but it thrives best in bathrooms, kitchens, or grouped with other plants.
• Temperature: Thrives between 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperature swings.
• Fertilizer: Feed lightly once a month in spring and summer with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
• Winter Care: Growth slows in winter; water slightly less but never allow moss to fully dry.
