Six people, no factory
Moss & Pixel is Diane Suarez-Murdock’s studio in Star, Idaho. There is no production floor here and nothing gets outsourced. The artist who comes out to measure your wall is one of the people whose hands are in it, so the person you talk to on day one is the person building it on day twenty.
Which is also why no two pieces come out the same. Preserved moss shifts in tone and texture from batch to batch, and every composition gets arranged by eye. Made by hand. Made only once.

We haul in the moss, the plants, the tools and the drop cloths, run the whole session, and clean it up before we go. You just get people to the table. Everybody leaves holding something they made.

Same hands, same moss, in a size that ships. Every frame is made to order, which means yours will not match the photograph exactly. Nothing we make does.
