Why moss walls?

Biophilic design connects people to nature inside the buildings where they spend their days. The word comes from biophilia — love of living things.

The pull toward nature didn’t switch off when we moved indoors. Research suggests spaces designed this way lower stress, lift mood, and sharpen focus.

  • Lower stress and anxiety
  • Better mood and wellbeing
  • Sharper focus and creativity

Most of what makes a space biophilic is architecture — daylight, airflow, views out — decided long before we arrive.

A moss wall pulls the three levers left: real greenery, natural texture, and the organic pattern the eye reads as living.

The practical version: the calm of a planted wall in a room that could never support one. No daylight needed, no irrigation, nobody on staff remembering to water it — which is how preserved moss ends up in windowless lobbies and interior conference rooms.

What your wall is actually made of.

Real preserved botanicals, not plastic. Sustainably harvested and treated to stay soft and vibrant for over a decade indoors.

Preserved reindeer moss

Preserved reindeer moss

Harvested, cleaned, and preserved to stay soft and colorfast. Bushy and coral-like — the primary texture across most compositions, and the one that takes dye for custom colors.

Sheet moss

Sheet moss

Thin, sprawling mats — soft and matte like fine turf. The clean base layer that carries color across big spans and settles the eye between busier textures.

Mood moss

Mood moss

Dense, upright tufted growth layered in for depth and organic movement, giving the wall real dimension rather than a flat surface. Reads like a forest floor up close.

Bun & pillow moss

Bun & pillow moss

Tight, convex cushions with a close, turf-like nap. Worked through a composition for rounded topography and a soft, sculptural rhythm that catches the light.

Baltic birch backing

Panels and cut shapes are built on furniture-grade birch — stable, light, and finished on all visible edges so the piece hangs clean and lasts.

Built around your brand, not a catalog.

We don't resize a stock design. Each commission starts with your space, your palette, and your brand — then gets composed by hand, one piece at a time.

Logo & signage integration

Your mark set into the composition rather than mounted on top of it — dimensional lettering, backlit signage, or shapes cut from Baltic birch.

Brand color matching

Preserved moss comes in a wide range of tones. We match to your palette and build a physical sample before anything is finalized.

Any shape, any wall

Irregular walls, columns, curves, reception desks, and around existing fixtures. Panels are cut to fit the space as it actually is.

Acoustic softening

Reindeer moss is naturally porous, taking the hard edge off echo in lobbies, conference rooms, and open-plan offices.

From first walkthrough to finished wall.

Most commissions run four to six weeks from approved design to install. You'll hold a physical sample before we build anything.

1

Consultation & design

We visit your space, measure, and talk through brand, budget, and how the wall will actually be seen and used. You receive a scaled rendering and a written quote.

Week 1 · On site · No cost

2

Sample & approval

We build a physical sample board with your exact moss varieties and colors. Nothing goes into production until you've held it and signed off.

Week 2 · Physical sample

3

Build & install

Panels are composed by hand in the studio, then mounted at your location in a single visit — typically outside business hours, with no dust or disruption.

Weeks 3–6 · One-day install

Consultations are free and start with a walkthrough. Send a photo of the wall and a rough budget, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
